My dog Mister

A loving little pup

Was also very curious

And always wanted to know what’s up

So it wasn’t very long

After being away for only a moment 

Before good ole Mister

Got himself into quite the predicament!

Mister got his head stuck 

Underneath the fence gate!

He sure didn’t ask for

Such an unfortunate fate!

He was just so curious 

About what was on the other side

His only instinct 

Was to give it a try!

Oh how he wished

For a much better fate!

Because Mister got his head stuck 

Underneath the fence gate!

When Mister realized he was in a bit of trouble

He barked and he squealed

I ran so fast to save him

You would have thought I was on a baseball field!

Because Mister got his head stuck 

Underneath the fence gate!

He sure didn’t ask for

Such an unfortunate fate!

He was just so curious 

About what was on the other side

His only instinct 

Was to give it a try!

Oh how he wished

For a much better fate!

Underneath the fence gate!

As soon as I got to him

I could tell he was in a fright

So I pet him with my left hand

And I dug with my right!

I was able to make a hole

Just big enough to

Gently take my hands

And guide his little head through

Because Mister got his head stuck 

Underneath the fence gate!

What a day for my dog Mister

I’m so thankful I was around

Because nothing makes me happier

Than when Mister is safe and sound
