When I was little I remember seeing

Planes fly across a big blue sky

I wondered how people even fit in those things

As I watched them fly by

My mother saw me wondering

So she took me to the airport to see

What I saw when we got there

Really amazed me

After getting closer to a plane

It didn’t take me long to see

Planes are really big

And that made an impression on me

I’m really glad I wondered

And I’m really glad I got to see

Just how much bigger a plane will get

The closer you get to it

I also remember seeing mountains

Off in the distance looking so small

I would sit there and I would wonder

Are those mountains really that tall

My dad saw me wondering

So he took me to the mountains to see

What I saw when we got there

Really amazed me

After driving through the mountains

It didn’t take me long to see

Mountains are really big

And that made an impression on me

I’m really glad I wondered

And I’m really glad I got to see

Just how much bigger a mountain will get

The closer you get to it

After a few years

When I was a little bit older

Sometimes I would feel really small

Like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders

When my parents would see me struggling

They would read the Bible with me

What I felt when we read together

Really amazed me

After reading a couple of lines

It didn’t take me long to see

The word of God moves mountains

And I’m better when He lives inside me

I’m thankful for the struggle

Because without it I wouldn’t be able to see

That He’ll fill your heart all the way to the brim

The closer you get to Him

Now no matter what I do

And no matter what I see

I’m amazed at how much bigger everything gets

The closer I get to it

So I keep my Bible close by

And I keep my eyes looking at Him

Cause He’ll fill my heart all the way to the brim

The closer I get to Him
